Notice Formatting Policy
The Alabama Messenger does not create, rewrite, or fully format legal notices on behalf of customers. Customers are responsible for providing the complete notice exactly as they would like it to read, including all wording, names, dates, case numbers, and other required information.
Our staff will only adjust the notice as needed to fit the column size and layout of our newspaper. We are not responsible for correcting the content, determining what information is legally required, or changing the wording of a submitted notice. Please carefully review your notice for accuracy and completeness before submitting it for publication.
Important Notice
Submission of a notice and publication dates constitutes a request for publication.
If changes or cancellations are needed, they must be submitted before the applicable deadline. Notices are processed in the order they are received and by their requested publication date. To ensure timely publication, priority is given based on the requested first publication date, with notices for earlier publication dates being processed first.
Pricing and publication confirmation will be provided after your notice has been reviewed by our staff.
Notice Corrections
Corrections may be made to a submitted notice as long as they are received before the applicable publication deadline. The size and extent of the requested correction will determine whether the original price changes. Minor corrections may not affect the price, while larger revisions, added wording, or changes that increase the length of the notice may result in an additional charge. Any updated pricing will be provided after the corrected notice has been reviewed.
Refunds & Cancellations
All approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method as the original transaction. Payments made by credit card will be refunded back to the original card, and payments made by cash or check will be refunded by check. Please note that any credit card processing fees are non-refundable and will not be included in the refund amount. Cancellation requests are subject to our cancellation policies and deadlines, and refunds will only be issued when applicable.
